Forged and cast
Details made for one house only.
Classic ironwork lives in its details: scrolls, collars, rosettes, leaves and newel posts. We forge the bars and scrolls by hand, and when a design calls for a leaf, bracket or rosette that cannot be bought, we make the mould ourselves and cast it.
That is how we can reproduce a historic pattern exactly, or create a motif that belongs to your house alone.

Custom bent railings
Bent to every curve of the stair.
Curved and spiral staircases need rails that follow the stair perfectly. We template on site and bend the handrail and balusters in our studio, so the railing flows from the first step to the landing without a kink.
Iron can be paired with a brass, bronze or wood handrail for a warmer touch under the hand.

Railing restoration
Old railings, brought back to life.
Antique iron railings are often worth saving. We repair broken scrolls, recast missing ornaments from new moulds, straighten and re-anchor loose sections, then refinish the whole railing.
We also extend existing railings so that a new staircase or landing matches the original work.

Questions
Frequently asked questions.
Is wrought iron suitable for a modern interior?
Absolutely. Alongside traditional scrollwork we make minimalist railings in black steel with square balusters, and combinations of iron with brass, bronze or wood handrails.
Can you match or restore an existing iron railing?
Yes. We repair and extend existing railings and recreate missing ornaments by making a new mould and casting them, so new and old work match.
What finishes are available for iron railings?
Satin and matte black, oil-rubbed and waxed finishes, powder coating, and gilded or bronze accents on selected ornaments.
Do you install outside Toronto and the GTA?
Yes. Our studio is in Port Perry, Ontario; we install across the GTA and take on projects in Florida and elsewhere in Canada and the United States.
